Serve with us
We have some great serve opportunities during Xtreme Week! Join us to make a difference in the lives of kids this summer as we help them discover all about God's Kingdom through sports, creativity and tons of fun. From behind the scenes, sports, STEM, art and small group leaders, there are so many ways to get involved. Our biggest need is for small group leaders to lead a group of 8-10 kids through all the fun at camp.
Xtreme Week FAQs
Is Xtreme Week replacing Summer Sport Camp?
Xtreme Week is an expansion on Summer Sports Camp. We want to make sure that kids who aren’t into sports can also find something they love about summer camp. Sports will still be one of the options kids can experience, but because we are offering more than just sports, we are changing to name to reflect that.
What happens during Xtreme Week?
Kids will start their day in small groups that will be their team for the week. All groups will then gather together for a large group time of games, music, and Bible teaching. Kids will connect again in small groups after the large group time to do activities together and have a snack. The rest of the time kids will be with their team doing their sports or STEM activities. On Monday and Wednesday, kids will also get to experience a messy arts and crafts area that will be tons of fun!
What is the STEM track?
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. In this track, kids will have the opportunity to do hands-on projects from some of those various fields.
My child has special needs—can they attend?
We want every child to be able to attend. If your child has any special needs, please reach out to us so we can work with you to find the best solution to make sure your child can be included in Xtreme Week. Email us at nextgen@crosspointlew.org
Who will be my child’s group leader?
Your child’s small group leader will be contacting you prior to the start of Xtreme Week. Their love for kids will be evident, and they’ll help your child have a great experience at Xtreme Week! This person will be with your child all week, praying with and for them, having fun with them, and keeping them safe. You will meet your child’s small group leader on Monday when you bring your child to their specific group. All volunteers at Xtreme Week go through a background check and training process.
Can I stay with my child?
We value safety and security most of all. So, in order to ensure a secure campus, after the initial check-in time, the campus will be closed to anyone who has not been cleared and background checked and is not wearing a volunteer t-shirt. If you would like to serve with us, please fill out the volunteer registration.
What if I can’t afford the registration fee?
We never want finances to get in the way of kids attending camp, so if this may be a hardship for you please reach out and we would love to work with you. You can email us at nextgen@crosspointlew.org.
Can my child bring a friend?
Kids must be pre-registered to attend camp since we have a limited number of spots available. We may not be able to add kids once the week of camp has started. Kids will be in small groups/teams of kids the same age and gender. If your child wants to have a friend in the same small group, there is a place on the registration form to request that.
